The Grand-père Marcel armchair in rattan, here in its low-back version, is THE iconic model of French rattan. Very popular in our countryside in the early 1900s, it was sold at the time by peddlers who went from village to village. Light, robust, and inexpensive, it was sometimes the only element of comfort in modest homes: to knit, smoke, listen to the radio, read by the fire, or chat under the apple tree... Comfortable, simple and robust, it is still fashionable today. It can be used as an occasional chair, but its seat height allows it to be used also around a dining table.

Features and options

Overall dimensions: height 80 cm x width 59 cm x length 56 cm, seat at 45 cm, seat width 49 cm, seat depth 41 cm, armrests at 66 cm. Weight 4 kg. Made in Indonesia. Available in natural rattan with bark, or in patinated rattan (see the choices above). Patination is carried out to order in our workshops, please allow an extra ten days. A seat cushion can be ordered as an option. Customer fabric available for this product. Contact us for more information.

Bonjour, Je suis très très déçu de la qualité des chaises … L’article reçu présente un certain nombre de défauts notamment des traces de brûlures et des éclats de matière … J’ai commandé il y a deux ans ces mêmes fauteuils qui sont arrivés en parfait état … J’ai essayer de déposer un me demande sur internet au niveau du SAV impossible de valider le service et hors fonctionnement … Quel arrangement pouvez-vous me proposer car je ne suis pas tout satisfaite … Merci, cordialement.
