Nantucket Rattan Coffee Table: Natural or Weathered?

The Nantucket rattan coffee table is available in “natural” or “weathered” finishes (see above to select the finish). The “natural” version features the standard, traditional finish, with no treatment other than a light coat of clear matte varnish that’s barely noticeable. The “patinated” version starts with the natural finish, to which a layer of brown patina is applied; this is then wiped down to accentuate the texture of the weave and completely re-varnished to prevent the patina from wearing off. This is a labor-intensive process, carried out to order in our workshops, which explains the price difference and the slight additional lead time (about fifteen days). A patinated Nantucket rattan coffee table, on the other hand, will have the charm of a vintage piece aged by time, much like those found at flea markets and which are particularly sought after.
