ORCHID EDITION - PLUS CANNE rattan armchair

Another creation from AC/AL studio (Amandine Chhor and Aïssa Logerot) for Orchid Edition and KOK Maison.

In accordance with the Orchid Edition guidelines, the PLUS rattan armchair inaugurates a new approach to rattan design: clean shapes, devoid of the many arches and ligatures that are usually found on rattan furniture, yet paying a particular tribute to "French canework", the golden age of which was Regency and Louis XV style of furniture, not to mention the bentwood seats of the Thonet era the 19th century... The headrest of the PLUS CANE armchair catches the eye. It is as if it were suspended, but its curves harmoniously recall those of the cane structure, creating a balanced ensemble that is totally new in the "rattan" spirit and yet very classic with its caning.

Rattan armchair PLUS: technical data

Structure in natural barked rattan, matt varnished, seat and headrest in open cane rattan "à la française" reinforced by a grid of nylon straps.

Overall dimensions: height 90 cm x width 58 cm x depth 84 cm, seat height 37 cm. Weight 5 kg. Each leg is equipped with a double-sided glide (one hard side, one felt side) that can be easily changed and replaced. Delivered assembled. Made in Indonesia.

Rattan armchair PLUS: maintenance

Remove dust with damp cloth or vacuum cleaner regularly. This item is meant for indoor use only. It is normal to see the canewok slightly deforming in a dry atmosphere. Moisten it, preferably from beneath, and it will resume its normal tension.
