The ultimate in comfort in the 1900s, the adjustable natural rattan lounge chair or lounger known as the "grandmother”, has survived the century, to our great delight, and is re-released here by KOK MAISON. The footrest at the front is fixed with two fastenings, or can be retracted under the seat. Like the Bagatelle lounger, a superb brass ratchet mechanism behind the backrest offers you four comfortable positions: raised for reading, and then three inclined positions that range from""a little nap" to "sweet dreams"... Notice in passing the two comfortable armrests, and the magnificent "herringbone" pattern weaving, which is entirely hand-crafted. The "Grand-mère" lounger in natural rattan is shown here in its version without a cushion. A matching cushion is available as an extra. Customer fabric available for this product. Frame in natural unpeeled rattan, woven in split rattan, a choice of transparent satin varnish, or with a traditional patina. A ratchet mechanism, fastenings for the footrest, and a backrest pivot in brass. Overall dimensions (backrest in an upright position): height 107 x width 78 x length 85 cm + 47 cm (footrest). Four backrest positions: 110°, 130°, 150°, 170° (almost lying down flat) from the horizontal. Seat height 42 cm, Seat width 50cm, Seat depth 58cm.

Je regrette que la finition de la chaise longue ne soit pas plus soignée : laiton visible,quelques éclisses abîmées, tressage peu serré... Mais l’aspect général est celui attendu. Ce qui ne m’empêche pas d’avoir la nostalgie de l’ancienne.....,beaucoup plus soignée...
