The Bagatelle pedestal table in rattan , here in square format 70 x 70, is emblematic of the French rattan from the Belle Epoque. Here's an ultra-practical version featuring a square top with rounded edges in marble-effect laminate. It's not real marble, but the kitchen worktop-type laminate is highly resistant to intensive use and easy to maintain, without adding too much weight. The very rounded, yet square cut-out of the top leaves no protruding angles that could impede service or passage. The overall dimensions of the 70x70 cm top are those of terrace tables for two people. The height of 77 cm is that of a dining table, making it ideal for a dining or breakfast area for two. The table can also be used as a pedestal table to hold a light, a knick-knack or a plant. This model is available in “all rattan”, with a top woven from rattan splinters with red netting.
The Bagatelle rattan gueridon table is suitable for private and professional use (hotels, cafés, restaurants...), but is not intended for outdoor use.

At the turn of the last century, rattan was in its golden age, as it was so easy to use that it lent itself to the scrolls, arabesques and intertwined shapes that were the hallmark of the Art Nouveau style. The charm of the afternoons under an arbour, walks in the botanical garden and cafés on the main boulevards is now part of our French way of life. KOK MAISON, with its Bagatelle line, is now re-releasing the furniture that goes with it. Each model in this collection has its own design and its own lines, as if it had been individually aged, but the choice of a common finish ensures is coordinated with the others. A quick nod to the techniques of the time: the finishing nailing is entirely in brass.
