Welcome to KOK Maison in the 60s
Over the last 100 years, countless items have been manufactured by KOK Maison. Although it has been impossible to list each and every model, we have always been concerned to collect the most emblematic pieces of our craft: those that illustrate a period-specific style, those that highlight a technique of crafting or weaving rattan and related materials. Together, they form a sort of inventory, somewhat exhaustive, of what is being done in ‘our trade’.
This ‘museum’ is our main source of inspiration for developing new collections. It also serves as a training ground to introduce newcomers and designers to our know-how. In short, the heart of KOK Maison.
However, it had never really been thought through. We ended up with several versions of the same model and subtle variations of the same chair in 6 or 8 copies... Not everything was relevant to our use, and it seemed a shame to let these pieces age in a warehouse when they could have a second (and much more interesting) life in a real home.
So, at the end of 2024, we decided to sort through all the surplus items and put them up for sale. We're keeping our one-offs, our favourites and our training materials, and for everything else, we're putting them up for sale.

The first selection is now available for sale in the ‘studio reserve’ category on our website.
We are starting with a selection of around fifty unique pieces. Each item can only be sold once, but certain batches of similar models can be considered to create a complete set.
You'll find an eclectic collection of KOK Maison models, made in France or in Indonesia by our partners for the most recent models. Some have been officially put on sale and we still have a few left, while others are tests, samples or unpublished prototypes.
Most of these pieces do not bear the KOK Maison brand. For the older pieces, this was simply not done at the time. As for the prototypes, we only stamp them when we consider that a model is ready to be marketed. We considered adding our logo, but in the end decided not to change anything on the original models to preserve their authenticity.Â

What is the condition of the items?
In the same spirit as for authenticity, we have done very little work on these models. They are sold as is, sometimes requiring minor repairs on your part if you feel this is necessary.
Older models show more signs of age. Even if they have never been used, they have been moved many times, stacked and unstacked... Some have scratches, slightly damaged binding or a natural patina due to the age of the rattan. They are perfect for vintage enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
More recent models, on the other hand, are generally in better condition. If you want to avoid an overly vintage look, we recommend that you opt for these pieces.
In all cases, any major defects have been photographed and described on each product sheet.
