The Lazslo willow table

The Lazslo table is actually more of a pedestal table, 5 cm lower than a real dining table. It matches the willow chairs Lora, Ilona and Piroska, which have the same elaborate style. It will be just the right height for an aperitif, tea or coffee, or to place a lamp or decorative item on. It has a laminated MDF top, which is particularly easy to clean.

Willow, rattan, what's the difference?

Rattan is a tropical plant (85% comes from Indonesia) related to the palm family which produces a "cane" that is easy to bend (with steam). Rattan allows for tighter curves and finer weaves than willow, but being less rigid, it requires a heavier frame.

Willow grows easily throughout Europe. It does not require any plant protection products or fertilizer. The harvest is completely regenerated each year, so it is a very easily renewable resource. Peeled hot ("buff" willow with natural copper tones) or cold ("white" willow), it is most often presented untreated, the willow fibre leaving its smooth and satiny surface to appear "au naturel".

Characteristics and options

Overall dimensions: height 71 x diameter 46 cm, diameter of the wooden tray 40 cm. Weight 3.2 kg. Structure, weaving and arches: natural buff willow (no varnish or stain). Made in Europe. Also available in medium size: diameter of wooden top 50 cm.

A wicker table or pedestal table can be used in a conservatory, a winter garden, or outdoors in good weather and occasionally, but cannot be considered as garden furniture. They are not made to withstand the elements, humidity, frost or long exposure to the sun. The Laszlo table is also hand woven. Dimensional differences of 1 to 2 cm may occur, no two are exactly alike.

Maintenance: dust with a damp cloth, avoid commercial cleaning products. In case of heavy soiling, clean with a sponge and soap.
