Designed by Emilie Ceriez, the PASSAGE rattan headboard is, in her own words, “a composition in natural rattan playing on empty and full surfaces. The interlocking frames create a headboard with a light appearance, almost as if it were floating in the air. Frames upholstered in open cane are set in slight asymmetry within a rattan cane structure, which defines the contours of the whole. Two small spaces open on either side to lighten the look and allow a clip-on bedside lamp to be clipped in.

Structure: debarked rattan cane and open rattan cane panels. Water-based matte varnish finish.

Overall dimensions:

- "90 cm" version: height 115 cm x width 93 cm x thickness 7 cm. Weight 5 kg.

- "100 cm" version: height 115 cm x width 106 cm x thickness 7 cm. Weight 5 kg.

- "180 cm" version: height 115 cm x width 186 cm x thickness 7 cm. Weight 10 kg.

- 200 cm" version: height 115 cm x width 212 cm x thickness 7 cm. Weight 10 kg.

For the latter two sizes, the headboard is supplied in two parts, with fasteners to assemble the two parts. The headboard simply rests on the floor or can be hung on the wall or bed base (fixing kit not supplied). Made in Indonesia.

PASSAGE rattan headboard: sizes

The "90 cm" headboard is actually 93 cm wide. The panel with cane measures 80 cm, so the ideal size is an 80 cm wide mattress, but a 90 cm mattress can also be used.
The "100 cm" headboard is actually 106 cm wide. The panel with cane measures 90cm, so the ideal size is a 90 cm wide mattress.

The "180 cm" rattan headboard is actually 186 cm wide. It accommodates all bedding sizes from 1.4 m to 1.8 m. With a 140 cm mattress, the cane panels will protrude slightly over the sides. With a 1.80m bed, the outer rattan cane (3 cm diameter) will just frame the mattress. This is the ideal size for a 1.6m-wide bed.

The "200 cm" rattan headboard is actually 212 cm wide. It accommodates bedding from 1.6 m to 2m. With a 160 cm mattress, the cane panels will overhang a little on the sides. With a 2 m bed, the outer rattan cane will just frame the mattress. This is the ideal size for a 1.8 m-wide bed.
