The Saigon rattan wicker armchair is made entirely of natural materials. While teak can withstand outdoor use, the rattan splints (strands of rattan bark) may fade or become brittle if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, or may deteriorate due to inclement weather or damp, cold conditions at night or in winter. The Saigon rattan wicker armchair can, in exceptional cases, be placed outdoors, but preferably in the shade and brought indoors in the evening. However, it is perfectly suitable for use on a veranda or in a sunroom. An outdoor version of the Saigon rattan wicker armchair has been created to meet the needs of our friends in the hospitality industry who may not necessarily be able to move their patio chairs indoors every day. The Sao Polo resin armchair is a replica of the Saigon model, in which the rattan slats have been replaced with high-density polyethylene. While it has a less authentic look—though it closely resembles natural fiber—it offers unbeatable durability, whether against the elements or with heavy use.

Cushion made of polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg/m³ for the seat and polyether wadding for the backrest. Cover made of beige fabric (49% cotton, 51% linen), machine washable. Cover is fully removable via a zipper.
The linen/cotton fabric of the cover tends to shrink slightly when washed, even in cold water. You must re-cover the foam while the cover is still damp so that the fabric “stretches” a little.
Be careful to fold the foam properly when inserting it into the cover to avoid damaging the opening near the zipper.

The Saigon rattan wicker armchair requires nothing more than occasional dusting with a damp cloth or feather duster. Avoid using chemical cleaning products. Each Saigon rattan wicker armchair is equipped with polyethylene glides that may wear out over time. We offer replacement glide sets in the “Other Replacement Parts” section.
