The Fanny Wicker Chair

The Fanny chair is entirely made of wicker, an ecological, local (European) and renewable material. The structure, the netting, the binding, everything comes from the willow tree (the other name for wicker), from which we harvest the strands at different stages of growth. Very sturdy, very comfortable, and light to move, the Fanny wicker chair is easy to live with on the veranda, in the winter garden, or in your main rooms where it will bring a little touch of relaxation and a little holiday feeling. Matching the Honorine tables.

Wicker, rattan, what's the difference?

Rattan is a tropical plant (85% from Indonesia) related to the palm family that produces a "cane" that is easy to bend (with steam). Rattan allows for tighter curves and finer weaves than wicker, but being less rigid, it requires a heavier frame.

Wicker (another name for willow) grows easily throughout Europe. It does not require any plant protection products or fertilisers. The harvest is completely regenerated each year, so it is a very easily renewable resource. Peeled hot ("buff" wicker with natural copper tones) or cold ("white" wicker), it is most often presented untreated, the willow fibre leaving its smooth and satiny surface to appear "au naturel".

Characteristics and options

Overall dimensions per chair: height 95 x width 46 x length 56, seat 45 cm. Seat depth 39 cm, seat width 44 cm. Weight 3 kg. Structure, nets, arches, and ties: natural buff wicker (copper tone). Made in Europe. The Fanny wicker chair is sold without cushions and in sets of 2. The price indicated above is for a set of 2 chairs.

A wicker chair can be used in a veranda, in a winter garden, or outside in good weather and occasionally, but cannot be considered as garden furniture. It is not made to withstand the elements, humidity, frost, or too much sun. Also, the Fanny chair is handmade. Dimensional differences of 1 to 2 cm may occur, no two are exactly alike.

Maintenance: dust with a damp cloth, avoid commercial cleaning products. In case of heavy soiling, clean with a sponge and soap.
