The Bistrot rattan chair in just a few words

The Bistrot rattan chair is an icon of the French rattan of the Belle Epoque. To use in a dining area, in front of a desk, on a veranda, in a conservatory, on a covered terrace and even outdoors on sunny days thanks to its resin weanving. This "outdoor" version of the Bagatelle rattan chair will also be more resistant to intense use.

A little bit of history

At the turn of the last century, rattan was in its golden age, as it was so easy to use that it lent itself to the scrolls, arabesques and intertwined shapes that were the hallmark of the Art Nouveau style. The charm of the afternoons under an arbour, walks in the botanical garden and cafés on the main boulevards is now part of our French way of life. KOK MAISON, with its Bagatelle collection, is now re-releasing the furniture that goes with it. Each model in this collection has its own design and its own lines, as if it had been individually aged, but the choice of a common finish ensures is coordinated with the others. A quick nod to the techniques of the time: the finishing nailing is entirely in brass.
